Weight Tracker
PRIVACY & DATA

Privacy Policy

Weight Tracker helps you record and understand your weight progress. This policy explains what information the app handles, why it is used, and the choices available to you.

Effective and last updated: August 18, 2026

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to the Weight Tracker mobile application and its related account-deletion and report-sharing services. Weight Tracker is a general wellness tool and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice.

2. Information we handle

Information you provide

  • Account information: an anonymous account identifier, or your email address and basic identity information when you choose Google or Apple sign-in.
  • Weight and wellness information: weight entries, entry dates, notes, height, preferred units, weight goals and target dates, waist measurements, and body-fat percentages.
  • Report and summary settings: report labels, expiration settings, and an email address and delivery schedule if you enable weekly summaries.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data: app interactions and screen navigation, including events such as opening the add-entry dialog.
  • Diagnostics: crash reports, device and operating system details, app version, and technical information needed to diagnose failures.
  • Service data: authentication, database, and request metadata such as timestamps and technical identifiers generated as the app communicates with its service providers.

Information kept on your device

Your preferred unit, reminder settings, and certain temporary app values are stored locally. Daily reminders are scheduled on your device and use notification permission when you enable them. The app does not request access to your camera, microphone, precise location, contacts, or advertising identifier for its core features.

3. How we use information

We use the information described above to:

  • provide weight tracking, charts, goals, BMI estimates, trends, and insights;
  • synchronize your data across devices and maintain your account;
  • create expiring, read-only progress reports when you request them;
  • send weekly summaries when you enable that feature;
  • deliver device-local reminders you configure;
  • understand app usage, maintain security, fix crashes, and improve reliability; and
  • comply with legal obligations and protect users, the service, and others.

We do not sell your personal information, use your weight or body measurements for advertising, or perform automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Sharing and service providers

We disclose information only as needed to run the app, at your direction, or when required by law. Our main service providers are:

Supabase

Authentication, database storage, synchronization, and server-side report features.

Google Firebase

App analytics and crash reporting. This telemetry is separate from your Supabase account data.

Google and Apple

Identity services, but only when you choose the corresponding sign-in option.

Resend

Email delivery when weekly summaries are configured and enabled.

Vercel

Hosting for this policy and the account-deletion page, including ordinary web request logs.

If you create a report link, anyone who has that link can view the report until it expires or you revoke it. Report access tokens are stored by Weight Tracker only as cryptographic hashes. Please share links only with people you trust.

Providers may process information in countries other than your own under their applicable safeguards and terms. We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, prevent fraud or abuse, or protect safety.

5. Storage, security, and retention

Synchronized app data is stored with Supabase. Row-level access rules are designed so authenticated users can access only records associated with their own account. We also use encrypted network connections and expiring report links. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Account data is retained while your account remains active and is deleted when you use the account-deletion process, subject to limited backups, security records, or records that must be retained by law. Expiring report links become unavailable at expiration and may be revoked earlier. Firebase analytics and crash data are retained under the provider's configured retention periods and are not linked to your Supabase account for account deletion.

6. Your choices and rights

  • You can view, add, edit, and delete weight entries and measurements in the app.
  • You can change goals, profile values, reminder settings, and summary preferences.
  • You can revoke report links from the Reports screen.
  • You can disable notifications in the app or your device settings.
  • You can sign out or disconnect a linked identity.
  • You can permanently delete your account and associated synchronized data.
Delete your Weight Tracker account

Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to certain processing, or to receive a portable copy of your information. To make a privacy request or ask a question, contact the developer using the support contact on Weight Tracker's app-store listing. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

7. Children's privacy

Weight Tracker is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for independent consent, you must meet that age or use the app with authorization from a parent or guardian. Contact us through the app-store listing if you believe a child provided personal information without appropriate consent.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top will be revised when we do. Material changes may also be communicated through the app or its store listing.
